The Tshwane City describes this as 16 ha of natural, open, rocky plains in Pierre van Ryneveld which has been zoned as an open green area.
Dogs on a leash are allowed to walk the 1.8 km hiking trail.
Recommendation: The area still to be visited.

Directions: The entrance to the reserve is in Hertzog Avenue. Follow the R21 south until the Nellmapius turn-off, turn right into Van Ryneveld Road; at the traffic light opposite the Total Garage turn left into Hertzog Avenue. The entrance is on the left hand side.
